A Small Farm with Big Dreams
When Katharine and I met in 2012 one thing we often talked about was my dream of retiring to a farm some day. Katharine is a city girl with a country heart and she agreed that a farm was something to look forward to. In 2015 we were married and living near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We both longed for a more simple life and to make the farm a reality sooner rather than later. In 2018 we began the search for the perfect place to begin our small farm adventure. In February of 2019 we purchased the most wonderful little place in Riesel Texas, and so began Pearl Farms and Properties. Our goal here at the farm is to provide our livestock with the best quality nutrition and care possible. They in turn supply us and our customers with the highest quality products available. We are incredibly grateful for the blessings of this small farm and are excited to see where the good Lord leads us.
MEET YOUR FARMERS
Jared grew up in Winnfield Lousiana. He attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, before heading off-shore to begin his career on an oil rig. He has worked in the oil industry for just shy of 25 years now and still enjoys it. If he isn't working on something for the farm, you can find him hunting or playing with our 2 German Shepherds.

Katharine grew up in Peoria, Arizona. She attended Northern Arizona University majoring in Hospitality and Tourism. She also attended culinary school, after which, she began teaching high school culinary arts. If she can't be found in the garden or the kitchen with the kids; she is likely working on an event for a client's special day.
