We created this blog space almost a year ago with the intentions of posting once or twice a week. Then... life got in the way, the end of Katharine's pregnancy had her less energized than she'd planned, and Jared had to have not one but TWO hand surgeries! Our precious new farm hand was born in November of last year and with all of the farm work and a new baby this project fell by the wayside. But, we have GOOD NEWS... we are back and ready to share some farm updates! We are currently up to 12 head of cattle. We just took our bull to be Trich and fertility tested and he passed with flying colors! We will soon have new life on the farm, as some of our girls will be calving this fall. The garden has been quite prolific this year providing an abundance of peaches, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. We have already begun planning our fall vegetable garden and have some other exciting projects we will share with you soon. We have recently Joined the Heart of Texas Farmer's Market and are so excited to be a part of this wonderful group! We hope you will come out and see us even if only to say hi! Thank you for your continued support of our small farm adventure and we look forward to seeing you soon!
As always, sending you love and good health from the farm!
